It all began with Nadeem Ahmed Malik, a visionary entrepreneur with a deep-seated passion for rugs. From a young age, Mr. Nadeem immersed himself in the intricacies of rug-making, learning the art from his father and honing his skills with each passing year. His journey took flight in 1998 when he founded Asiatics, a venture that would soon become synonymous with quality and innovation in the industry.
Under Mr. Nadeem's leadership, Asiatics flourished, emerging as the largest exporter of hand-made carpets in Pakistan. His visionary approach and unwavering commitment to excellence earned him accolades, including the prestigious LCCI Businessman of the Year award in 2006 and 2007. But beyond the accolades, Mr. Nadeem's greatest achievement lies in the lasting impact he has made on the industry, pioneering new techniques and pushing the boundaries of creativity.
In 2023, the next chapter of the Malik family legacy began with the founding of Natalia Rugs by Mr. Nadeem's son, Isa Nadeem Malik. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant colors and intricate patterns of the rug world, Isa inherited his father's passion and determination. From an early age, he showed a keen interest in the family business, spending hours observing the craftsmanship and soaking in the wisdom passed down from generation to generation.
At the age of 17, Isa officially joined the family business, bringing fresh energy and innovative ideas to Natalia Rugs. Together with his father, they embarked on a journey of expansion, setting their sights on new horizons and untapped markets. Their first milestone came with the establishment of a state-of-the-art factory in Kot Lakhpat, Lahore, marking the beginning of a new era for Natalia Rugs.
But the Malik family's vision extended far beyond the borders of Pakistan. With a desire to share their passion for craftsmanship with the world, they set their sights on the United States, a melting pot of cultures and influences. In 2017, Natalia Rugs made its debut in the US market, opening doors to a world of opportunities and possibilities.
