Khotan Carpets
The Khotan region of Central Asia is where khotan rugs were typically made. Since ancient times, this area has been a hub for rug weaving, and Khotan carpets are renowned for their superior craftsmanship, elaborate designs, and use of wool. Persian knots are often used in high density, giving them a subtle opulent feel and enhancing their durability.
Khotan carpets come in a wide range of hues and patterns, although Ivory, taupe, beige and blue tones are the most typical ones. Tribal ornamental designs can also be seen on some Khotan carpets; these motifs are frequently woven into the rug's background and borders.
